We recharged through Absa internet banking to obtain airtime for our 8ta sim for our internet. As they didn't have an 8ta option and only Telkom, we chose Telkom as 8ta is powered by Telkom. We tried to load the airtime and it failed. We contacted aN 8ta consultant who advised that the recharge voucher was for a telkom landline and that we are to contact telkom for a refund so that we can get 8ta airtime for our internet. We called the Telkom call centre number they gave us and the consultants at telkom were rude and unhelpful. After asking to speak with a manager and waiting on hold for some time, we were cut off. We are now sitting with a telkom voucher we cannot use and all we want is to recharge our 8ta sim for internet. Instead of telkom just buying back the voucher or helping to have the funds transferred, the service (or lack there of) from telkom has been appalling and disgusting to say the least.. Telkom isn't losing out afterall, 8TA POWERED BY TELKOM!
