I replaced my daughter's cellphone (after it was) on the of 11th of May 2013 - 2 weeks ago. On the 25th of May (Sunday) the "ON/OFF" button started giving trouble. I went back on the 27th of May (Monday). The shop where I bought the phone wasn't linked to Vodacom "after care" and I had to go to another shop. They are now sending it to be repaired (3 weeks). This is totally UNACCEPTABLE. My daughter - a student - is once again without a phone.
Do I have to buy another one?? After 14 days??
I have a MTN contract & simcard. I bought this phone at a vodacom shop. When that was mentioned today, the lady assisting me said that the warranty will probably not be applicable. Really?? I bought a new phone - not a new contract. Vodacom sold me a phone. Can Vodacom now please replace that phone. I will deal with whatever sim-card I wish to. And can Vodacom replace that phone and NOT send it for repair after 14 days??
