I complained to Vodacom in December 2010 regarding their poor signal in my area, Soneike in Kuilsriver, Cape Town. The response was fairly quick, and a technician came to my house to measure the signal strength of their service. He confirmed that the signal was poor, and that the issue will be elevated and be addressed eventually. In due course I received messages informing me that a BTS (cellular tower) is planned for my area to improve the service.
It bothers me that after almost three years of lodging my complaint and getting promises, the issue hasn't been dealt with and addressed. They are now rolling out LTE into other (well-serviced) areas, but not addressing the issue I reported almost three years ago.
Talk about customer service!!!
