Vodacom has incompetent staff. I couldn't make calls or send SMSs or use the internet since Monday morning (20May), I called 111 more than twice that day and was told that I needed to get the SIM checked @ a Vodashop. I took leave &went to Sunnyside on 21May&my SIM wasn't even checked, the lady just told me my SIM looked old and I needed a SIM swap (without even testing it). I did the SIM swap but after the 3hr waiting period the problem was still there. Today I called vodacom more than 6times&my problem is still not solved. The last guy I spoke to informed me that all the people I spoke to who claimed they had logged a call for my problem never logged it, only 1 person did. He further informed me that my SIM never had a problem, it was something that had nothing to do with a SIM card. I basically wasted my 1day of leave, my petrol driving to Vodashop, the money I paid for the SIM swap, etc. If this was cellphone banking, the would have transferred all my money, &Vodacom wouldn't have given the money back. Staff is incompetent. I pray that I don't have an emergency situation because I basically don't have a phone. Vodacom is unreliable. Not to be considered for long-term relationshp
