At 14:36 a sms came thorough on my cell informing me that a sim swap has been requested and if I dispute this I had to call a 082111 number. I only saw this at 16h00 and immediately called Vodacom whereby I was told by the agent that this request would be cancelled and he was transferring me to the person who was doing the sim swap - at Vodaworld Walk-in Centre. Instead of being put throguh my call was transferred to the automated rating-rated the call 2-dissatisfied.
I then called the 'Redline' and this is where I became the one person under extremely tight scrutiny on following up on he sim swap. Perhaps if this kind of scrutiny which left me feeling like a -was undertaken on the person doing sim swap on my number-we would not be sitting where we are right now.
At abut 18h00 on trying to make a call I realised that my sim card was deactivated. Once more again another call to Vodacom Call Centre and after being transferred toa 3rd person I was told that the original agent did not cancel the unauthorised sim swap and it went through hence mine was deactivated. Also I had to pay an amount after I have been to a Vodashop.
