I upgraded my contract on 3/5/12 and got a iPhone 4S 16GB. A week later, it fell and the back glass panel cracked, but other than that it had no problems. Round about Christmas (7 months later) the phone started giving me problems. It didn't want to charge every time i connect my charger, nor did it want to communicate with my PC.
On the 16th of January 2013 i took my iPhone to the repair center in Montague Gardens. On the 17th of January 2013 I got the following sms: "Dear client. There is an estimate of R4122.00 for the repair of your phone..." I found this ridiculous, because my phone is 8 months old and should still be covered under it's warranty.
I went back to the repair center and asked the following:
Written statement why they refused to fix/replace my broken iPhone.
Letter from the technician stating what is wrong with my phone.
Breakdown of the given estimate - where did they get the R4122 they quoted.
Contract or policy regarding goods under warranty, or conditions of warranty.
THEY SENT ME AWAY without giving me anything I asked for.
I demand an answer! I demand that you fix/replace my iPhone! I demand you phone me immediately! Or I'll cancel all of my contracts!
