Vodacom
Honour your Warranty

Hi There

On the 26th of April 2013, I booked my Blackberry Torch in to be repaired @ Vodacom Midlands Mall. The gentleman who booked the phone in was pleasant and helpful. He inspected the phone closely, asked me a few questions, and even complimented me on the fact that my phone hadn't been dropped and was in a perfect condition. On the 29th I get an sms that my phone has been received for repairs at the Durban hub. On the 2nd of May my phone is ready for collection back at Midlands Pietermaritzburg.

On collection, I was met by another gentleman, who whilst looking at his screen, told me, "Your phone has not been repaired. It has been tampered with. This is what the guys at Vodacom said, and they even sent it to Blackberry to confirm it. Blackberry says the same thing".
The only confirmation that the phone had been 'tampered with' came from the consultant that handed me back my phone. No correspondence from Vodacom or BLACKBERRY themselves (as the consultant notably pointed out) and nothing stated on the invoice regarding their findings either.
I'm sitting with an unrepaired, unusable unit that still has almost 12 months of warranty to it. What now?
