After having gone back and forth with Vodacom about the very simple matter of when my contract ends and how I go about closing my account I was finally told that my account ends in march and given the amount payable. I payed the stipulated amount by the stipulated date and thought that was the end of the story only to have my account debited again.
I called customer service about this and naturally they couldn't hlp with anything so I was referred to Legal. Already frustrated I contacted legal and finally got through to someone on the third try. After I nearly ripped Tameem's head off (he of course was very confused about why I was so upset), he managed to explain that everyone that I had spoken to at the branch had given me incorrect advise from the time I opened my account (saying I was receiving no free minutes when in fact I was) until the time I closed it (I was given an incorrect final amount payable and two incorrect end dates one from customer "care" and the other from a vodacom store).
Finally I understood what Tameem was saying (that his colleagues are) and that he would sort the problem out. He was patient and perservered! Well done Tameem and thanks!
