My colleague and I took his phone in to the Riverside Mall branch yesterday after trying to do an OTA update (this being the official update from Samsung and the network provider) the phone stopped updating halfway through and refused to reboot. The man who helped us proceeded to tell us that the 'Official Samsung Update" was not official (?) but that he could fix it as it was under warranty and hadn't been tampered with. At NO point, was any mention made of being charged for something that falls under normal warranty. However, today after calling their branch a woman informed us that we would be charged for the software update! This is unacceptable, the phone is faulty due to a upgrade provided via their network but now we must pay for the error!? Please sort this out or I will be escalating this further.
