Refuses to release Android update for Galaxy S2

Samsung Global has begun the release of Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) globally for all the Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 smart phones since January 2013.
This update solves many bugs on the phone and improves performance and battery life along with a list of other UI improvements.
After lengthy phone calls with Samsung South-Africa I finally received a straight answer...
They won't be bringing out the update and any future updates like v4.2.2, as they want so sell more S3s and S4s.
So in other words, South African S2 users whose phones are 6 months old and hangs at least once a day and requires a full restart, like mine, because Samsung S.A. is greedy.
I have confirmed with users in the US & UK that their S2s have received the update months ago and the phones are dramatically improved.
