I have had my vodacom number for more than 4 years it used to be a contractt number then i converted it to pre paid. On the 18th of april 2013 I purchased R5 airtime via cell phone banking and sent one sms and made a call to my fiance.. the 19th i even receieved a email on my phone.. on sunday the 21 i even recieved a call from my fiance on that number.. by the even my phone kept saying sim card registeration failed.. i thought that the sim got damaged or it had something to do with rica. I first checked if my number was registered then i bought a sim to do a sim swop on the 24th only to be told by the lady that my number was deleted. She said that there is nothing she can do if you dnt use your number in 7 months it gets deleted i told her that is impposible because i used my number a few days before.. She still kept insisting that there is nothing she could do. I asked her would do i speak to then after a while she called another guy.. he said that its a matter for the techinical dept and took my details he sent them an email and called me back with a ref number. he said it takes 24hours.. vodacom records their calls.. My number is still not fixed!!!
