I took out my contract with a brand new Blackberry Bold. Shortly afterwards I had to take the phone back to the store and they took it in for repairs saying that it seems to be a software issue. I was then given a a refurbished handset (which baffles me since mine was a brand new phone) to replace that one. I had it for a few months and the phone just shut down one day. I took it back and it went in for repairs again. When it came back, today I was told that they installed new software to the refurbished phone and that a test was also conducted on the battery. I turned the phone on and again there is a problem in that I am unable to use any of the apps. I called vodacom directly and was informed that the BIS service is down. The service has now been up for some hours and still I have I service on the phone. I have called vodacom an additional 2 times and no one seems to have a solid answer for me. I am at the point now where I am not willing to carry on like this. All I want is a functioning handset, a brand new one preferably since I have barely enjoyed having a new phone. All of this is not my fault and is unacceptable. Vodacom must ensure their phones are function before sale
