Vodacom
Faulty Blackberry not resolved

In Jan 2011 I purchased a Blackberry Bold 9900 on a Talk 500 contract with Vodacom - expensive enough on its own, but I also have to pay an extra R90-odd per month for the handset. From the outset the phone was faulty, dropping the letter 'o' while typing messages, but most annoyingly, dialing random numbers while I was in the middle of a call. I took it in to the Somerset West service centre, they said a software reinstall would fix it but it didn't.
I put up with issues for several more months, dreading losing my phone for weeks on end as I had heard happens. I handed it in at the repair centre and since then, I have entered a perpetual cycle where Vodacom sends the handset off, and gives me a replacement handset that has been "refurbished". Each successive phone is just as faulty as the last one, some of them even worse. I have contacted the CPA, they said they don't help with cellphones, I have called and emailed ICASA but they don't get back to me.
I escalted to the PA to the CEO at Vodacom who was no help at all, I have also dealt with the media manager who was also unable to source a proper replacement for me. I am paying for a handset that is totally faulty. So frustrating
