Hi, I have a contract with MTN and my insurance is through MTN. On the 19th April 2013, i accidently dropped my iphone 4s. the screen was cracked really badly and the phone wouldnt even turn back on. I immediately went to Mtn Morningside, corner of rivonia and summit road. I had the phone booked in. I had to kick up a large fuss to get a loan phone, which i eventually received.
They assured me that the phone would be looked at and taken to there insurance department by the latest tuesday. However this did not happen. I phoned the insurance branch and they had no record of the phone arriving. This situation continued until i eventually had enough and went into the Mtn store to find out what was going on. The Manager Kenneth was incredibly unhelpful. The phone remained missing until i went into the store this morning (2 May) and kicked up a large fuss about its where abouts. I even received and email conversation between the insurance and the Mtn morningside. They could not locate my phone at all.
Today they tell me that insurance has decided to fix the phone and that i must wait another 4 weeks for it. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
