Cannot unsubscribe from Mtnplay

I was unknowingly subscribed to this service which now deducts my airtime everyday. I've tried calling the call centre to unsubscribe but I am told they are unable to do this. This is unacceptable and amounts to!

Please ensure that I am unsubscribed and my airtime deducted to date is refunded. If not, I will migrate my number to another service provider who wont from me.
