I have made a mistake and have taken out a Cell C data contact to use in a wifi router. The first day i started using the service i attempted to check my data balance on their website using their MY Cell C service. The service was down this was on the 23rd March and the service is still down. In the remaining 9 days of March my allocated data was used up and I had to top up. In April 5Gb of peak data was allocated and by the 9th of April the data was mysteriously finished. On my Vodacom data contract my average use over an entire month was less than 2gig with a peak use ever of 4gig. With the my cell c service being down I would have to continually call the call center just to check my balance. Aggravating this is that the cell c data sim is in an inaccessible wifi router and each call from my Vodacom phone is charged for. Who else has been overcharged?
