I have complained numerous times at Vodacom themselves and even previously on Hellopeter about the signal strength in our area. Every time they make promises of improving. I've also explained a few times to various people that I suspect it is the tower which get affected due to mine activity - the closest opencast mine is less than 500meters from the tower. Everytime I spoke to somebody, there is no mention of the mine activity. About 6 weeks ago a male phoned me to inform me that they are upgrading 2 of the towers because there was a lot of vandalism, but I don't think this is one of the towers as it is right next to the road. Lately the signal is even worse. Previously we would at least have 3G or IF we were very lucky HSPA, but lately it is mostly EDGE and THAT is absolutely useless if you try to work on the internet. So PLEASE Vodacom, can you look into this and fix it??!! I even gave you the tower's GPS co-ordinates, also a few times so you MUST know which tower it is.
