I went in to MTN branch in Retail Park on 2 March 2013 to cancel my contracts (both had reached term) & change to "Pay as u Go". I filled in the forms & was told 5 - 7 working days. I also changed my other contract from call to data package.
I telephoned MTN H/O to complain (7 - 10 working days later) that nothing had happened & asked that they please sort it out. NO LUCK - they weren't interested. They told me they could do nothing & that the branch had to contact them???
On 23 March I went BACK to MTN (third trip into town) & STILL the matter had not been resolved! A very helpful young lady then took it upon herself to assist me & eventually sorted it out.
So after all this - my final billing on my contract should have been 30 March, as I was moved to "pay as u go" from 24 March.
Lo and behold! MTN took it upon themselves to debit my account on 1 April AND 1 May 2013 with the FULL contract billing for both contracts!!
What the? I have been paying for my own airtime for over a month already - have had NO inclusive minutest from MTN - my contract was CANCELLED!!! And yet they just deduct money as they please???
I am now sick & tired of MTN's nonsense!
