Rejection of Refund

It has come to my attention that Planet Fitness has debited me 3 times for gym fees off my account, however I have not taken out a formal contract with the gym. I was informed by the accounts manager at Claremont that my profile states that my membership started in 2010. The only recollection that I have of dealing with Planet fitness in 2010 is when I came to assess if I would be joining. I met a sales guy who gave me a week's free pass, I filled in some details however had not come to the decision whether to join. I never completed my membership because when I came back after my free week the sales guy was said to have left, receptionists commented that he was a problem. I didn't speak to another sales person, and never came back and now 3 years later I see debits orders going off. Kindly explain to me how this happens? I have identified 3 debits and the accounts lady confirmed this so for a 3 year contract why is there this gap no debits before this. strange and.

My contract has that you cancelled however they rejected the refund. This is very disheartnening as I am now in Johannesburg so cannot follow up fully what went on. I would like my refund of R297X3
