I took out a 3 year membership & received 6months free if paid upfront. I had to give my bank details as it was a requirement despite paying upfront. Since then I had unauthorized debits from Planet fitness. I had a battle trying to get it sorted out & eventually Planet fitness acknowledged their error & gave me additional free months for the trouble. I did not request a continual and NO debits were supposed to come off my account when my contract term ended. I emailed Bradley (plattekloof manager) the correspondence from the previous manager confirming my case but was ignored. Bradley, argued that I had to request a cancellation as their "new" system automatically renews the contracts. I was gracious in agreeing to pay for months of August (when first debits started again) & September while I waited for Bradley to terminate my contract. Only after much follow ups from me, have i received a response from Bradley on the 10 Sep 2013 stating that the request has been "actioned" and that he will contact me with confirmation. Further follow ups have been ignored. I am still waiting for the confirmation as promised by him, meanwhile my account is being debited. No response yet.
