Account outstanding after 6 years??

So i get a phone call from Virgin Active today saying that my account from 2007 is still outstanding. Is this even possible? First of all i settled my account the same year when i closed it, and secondly that woman needs to learn some manners. When i asked her why they phone me now, only after 6 years, her response was that they have been sending me emails and sms's and phoning me, but when i see that it is Virgin Active calling, i ignore it. Dont you think i wouldve been so tired of all the call after 6 years? Why would i out of the blue answer my phone after all those years if i've been trying to ignore you for so long? Who ever does the account that side must really go for training or they need to get someone more qualified to handle the accounts. Im not paying this amount again! And im sure im not the only person having to complain about this.
