After enquirying about joining the gym, and being told to complete forms and then contact Vitality to activate it, ... it would ONLY BE ACTIVATED once I paid the Vitality joining fee, ... I decided not to join, and FOUR MONTHS later, I started to get debited. I reversed the debit orders at my bank for 3 months, and thought that was the end of it, because I never heard anything from Planet Fitness, no phone calls, no emails, no post, NOTHING! Until today - 12 months later, I received an invoice from an email address that I no longer use, and havnt checked for the past couple of months, with Planet Fitness claiming I am being 'handed over" for an account of R2440.00 that I know NOTHING about. I have received a copy of the contract, I did not get an activation tag with my ID photo (as their rules stipulate), .. I havnt been back in the gym since the day I made the enquiry. Has anyone else experienced the same problem, because I am taking this further under the Consumer Protection Act!
