Still being debited after contract was cancelled

When my husband's 3-year contract was due to finish he went to the Rivonia club to cancel the membership. He was asked to send the request via email, which we did. We got no response from them even after following up a week later. He then went to Craighall where they checked & saw no action had been taken. They logged a service request on the database. All this time we were still paying monthly fees as agreed. The last deduction would be end of October 2013. Imagine my surprise when at the end of November I received a double debit and at the end of December we were debited FOUR times - all for different amounts. I had the bank reverse all of these deductions. On 2 Jan I sent a complaint to customer services. They only replied on 10 Jan, apologised for the bad service and promised to cancel the contract & write off the arrears caused by the reversals with immediate effect as it was their error.

We subsequently received an sms asking for payment of arrears and we have been debited again, twice. This despite sending them another email.

PLANET FITNESS: YOU WILL NOT GET ANOTHER CENT FROM ME. I HAVE PLAYED BY YOUR RULES AND DONE ALL YOU HAVE ASKED. WE ARE DONE!
