I just received a letter from debt collectors regarding this account. i queried this matter via hello peter and get closure almost 2 years ago and planet fitness had responded. To provide clarity, i opened a gym contract in craighall park and used it for a month until my work my relocated to pietermaritzburg. there is no planet fitness here so i wrote a cancelation letter and the consultant at the time did not object or say i could not cancel. I moved to KZN and never once received a call or sms or letter from planet fitness. some 3 years later i got a call from debt colletors asking me to pay this account (for 3 years fees). Planet fitness responded by sending me copies of statements and my contract as requested and this matter was resolved.again after more than a year, another debt collector has made contact with me regarding the same account. i am not paying for membership that i never used. i did give notice in writing and it is not my responsibility to ensure planet fitness staff advised me incorrectly. as previously communicated, please send this matter to court. i have my supporting documentation. kindly ensure that no debt collectors harass me in the future!!!
