I have been a member since 2010. I joined via Momentum Multiply. As from August 2013 i joined Discovery Vitality so i needed to swap over my gym membership. I had to repay that joining fee. The Sales consultant whom i had come into contact with me if i signed up asap (before my previous membership had come to an end) that i would qualify for the "special rate" and not have to pay the R110 card fee. The moment i agreed, he was hounding me to make payment. I tried to swipe my debit card at VA and their machine was not working. The following week i went and drew the money (at my expense), to pay. Then he tells me that he can only take half the money from me&the rest will be debited from my account. The total that i had paid him in cash was R475 on 31/07/2013. A further R400 was supposed to be deducted from my account, instead R500 was. When i informed him of this he told me that i must send in proof, which i did&that i would then be refunded. When i saw him in the gym, i told him that i had yet to be refunded. He said he processed that claim&it would take 10 working days. i also asked for a ref# which I am still waiting for. This is unacceptable and i should not have to chase him!!
