I joined Planet Fitness Roodepoort in 2011. Faithfully went only 3 months then moved soI cancelled it. For months they were debiting my account so I went in, called in you name it to complain. 3 months in a row I was told that I did not cancel it each time I complained and provided proof that I did! Eventually I got a notification to say that the cancellation fee would be R200 per month until R2000 cancellation fee is paid up. WHAT? Membership was R250 so if you cancel you save R50 per month. Wow what a saving for a service you do not use. I refused to pay Period! Months went by and not one word then 2012 I had lawyers call me and I explained to them that I cancelled it and for months they denied this and kept charging/debiting my account as if I was still using the facility. They need to fix their math first before they can demand a settlement "cancellation" fee right? Okay so haven't heard from anyone until today 10 October 2013 more than two years after I first cancelled me get a notification from my bank that a Naedo debit has been deducted. Are you serious???
