I cancelled my contract with Planet Fitness Wanderers in November 2012. Or at least I thought did. I phoned the club to find out what te cancellation procedure is and they informed that I need to cancel through Discover Vitality. So I phoned Vitality, cancelled my contract, went to Planet fitness and personally gave them the cancellation nr and reason for cancellation. I was assured that was the end of it and that the last month I would be billed for will be December. I even contacted them a few days later to make sure te cancellation has gone through and was again assure that it has all been sorted out. At the end of December I moved to South America for 6 months and had cancelled my Discovery Vitality membership as well. January came around and I wasnt billed for anything so I thought everything must be fine. In Feb I got billed R413. I tried to find out why and they said that i need to all of a sudden pay a cancellation fee. So I explained to them that if it is in the contract then I would pay it, but they can deduct it from the money they incorectly billed for. Nobody is getting back to me. These people find legal loopholes to keep from you until you pay them stop!
