In 2009 I signed a contract with Planet Fitness, in 2010 I relocated to Hartbeespoort where there is no Planet Fitness, I contacted PF and requested to cancel my contract, after a lot of trouble and a huge settlement amout it was finally cancelled. I still have the documentation and proof of settlement of cancellation.
A few weeks ago I received a call from Planet Fitness telling me that I owe them money, when I told them the above story and offered to send the proof of payment and cancellation doc's I was informed that the system can't be wrong and that they don't want my proof. I received a few more calls with the same results.
This morning when I checked my bank statement there was an amount of R250 from Planet Fitness deducted from my bank account. They are no more than common. They had no right to take any money from me and I do not owe them anything.
