My handbag was out of my locker at the gym. Granted, I did not lock the locker, so I accept responsibility for this. I immediately notified the manager, who allowed me to use his phone to ring my bank as transactions were taking place with my cards. I went through a month of having to get a new ID book, drivers licence, store cards, medical aid card etc. What surprised me the most was that even though I wasn't charged for any new bank cards or any of my 5 store cards, Virgin Active made me pay R60 for a new gym card!! It was from your gym!! Surely you can take the R60 knock in the name of good customer service?? I argued this 3 times with employees at the reception desk. I asked to speak to a manager who was not available. Someone took down my number and assured me they would call me. I'm still waiting a week later.
I have paid the R60 so that I can get into the gym. It's not the R60 i'm annoyed with - it's the principle of it all. You have a lot to learn about customer service.
