Last year November I reported my credit card and debit card and these cards were cancelled immediately on the same day. Two weeks later I was notified by the FNB department that there were transactions made on my credit card, which I had reported and was cancelled. I couldn't understand why this would happen, because as a customer I have faith in FNB that when I report my cards they would be cancelled and no transactions would be able to go through. I was informed about a certain floor limit that still remains even when a card is cancelled. FNB then reversed the transactions and I was assured that all was well.
Yesterday I got a cell phone notification of DEBIT CARD transactions, that I could not identify at all. I then realised that it was another. I was told by the bank that it would be impossible for my debit card to be used as it was cancelled and would also require a pin. This is really frustrating and careless of FNB to not have secure banking! I need immediate action and compensation for all the fear, discomfort and costs incurred while trying to receive help.
