I am one of those people who sing virgin active praises every where i go and recommend the brand to everyone who interacts with me on social basis but i have to say that i am very dissapointed in the brand and am really frustrated at this moment because i had 3 memberships with you guys. 1st one was opened in Randburg, after 1year i asked to be transfered to Cresta in 2009 and couldnt stay at Cresta so i had to cancel. I dont know if the Sales guy was just trying to get rid of me because he told me the membership was cancelled. I joined virgin active again last year (2012) and no one said anything about any account in arrears. Now 4 years later i get a call from MBD telling me that i owe them money for my membership that i cancelled in 2009. This is frustrating because i had just activated a new membership with boulders virgin active last year. I spoke to the manager at boulders who advised that she is not able to assist me, contacted head office and spoke to a Elisabeth today (10/07/13 who also could not assist me because the account is with MBD. I have no choice but to cancel my 2 years membership and was advised that i will have to pay R500 cancellation fee immediately.
