Virgin Active Gym in SOWETO does not have a sitting place by the steam room and members are forced to sit on the cold floor during breaks. I requested management to look into the request in January 2013 and again around May 2013. The latest update is that the regional project manager is designing a sitting area. No consideration was given for a temporary solution. What seems to be apparent is the practice in the company. affluent suburbs have all the basic facilities for a gym including competitive staff. It seems that Virgin is content by keeping mostly trained and professional managers in the suburbs and leave the townships with mediocre staff. I think its pathetic not to deliver quality services just because its a township.!!! The request has been escalated to a senior person at Head Office and they could not care lessabout what happens in SOWETO? No replies no correspondence from them about the escalation. Sheer arrogance. If this is what Branson stands for, I am disappointed and we will watch as the Virgin brand fades away amidst rising competition.
