I received an sms from the Body Shop (Bedfordview Branch) that they were offering a R50 Gift Voucher for my Birthday (it was a big one this year - 50!) - my Birthday is on the 26th March. Due to some logistical issues (health related) I only managed to get into the shop last week on the 26th April to happily redeem my voucher, only to be told by the shop assistant that the voucher was only valid for the month of my birthday. I explained to her that I had been unwell and not able to make it to the shop and also this was unfair as it literally gave me 4 days to respond whereas others whose birthdays fall earlier in the month have a lot more time. I said it would make far more sense to give people a month to redeem. She was completely uninterested and made absolutely no attempt to even discuss the issue - she just shrugged her shoulders with a "so what" attitude. Needless to say I left the items I intended purchasing on the counter and walked out. (I was going to buy items worth way more than the voucher, so they would have made a sale anyway!). Unbelievable.
