1000 reasons to open an account and wait weeks

I went on to the Edgars website on the 15th, to apply for an account which I submitted. I want to surprise my hubby with a gift for his birthday so I contacted the fashion hotline on Thursday to find out if there is any news just to hear they have been upgrading the website so my application did not submit, I had no problem redoing it as I was promised I can phone back straight away and find out if I'm approved, just to call back and have a lady say I must be in store. So Friday after work I'm off to Edgars in Eastgate where I fill the same application in for the 3rd time. And then I have to read it all back to a gentlemen over the phone, in the call center, Who then comes back and says at 8pm he can't get hold of my office. well because it's closed!!! So I wait for Monday. I was not informed from the start on this complicated process. Today is Tuesday and I call in for management where Pam puts me on hold for 5 minutes and then puts the phone down. I got approved at Mr Price in days with no hassle as I have no debt and need accounts to apply for finance on a car. Can it really be that difficult to get back to people, approved or not???
