Misinformation on Account status

I tried to open an account with Edgars and there has been a complete mishandling of the application and poor service from the consultants involved. After I submitted the application online, I received no feedback on the status of the account and had to call the new accounts line several times in order to get feedback on what was required. I supplied all documents requested and was contacted by Tintswalo who informed me that the account was approved, provided the details of the new account, then instructed me to go to the store to collect my card.

I thought things were finally resolved when 20mins later she called back and reported a system malfunction but told me to await sms confirmation. Again I received no feedback from her and when I called back the next day I was informed that my account had been declined.

Since then I have spent several days of calling and speaking to different agents in order to find out how a technical issue changed my account status, and why I received a call indicating approval when this was not the case

I would really appreciate some feedback on the complete mishandling of this application and clear information on the reasons for the change in status
