Went to the Sandton branch to purchase a blackberry Z10, they did not have stock yet they were extremely helpful and reffered me to another branch. Drove to the President/Eloff street branch in JHB CBD and i was told the phone cannot be sold to me untless i send the foschini headoffice 3 months banking statements. What is that! i was offered a Markhams account which is part of the foschini group, i have more than enough credit on it, why the does the head office require my banking statements to purchase a phone if i have the credit available. i was told that due to the phone costing R7500 they cannot release it until i send them statements, it is a absolutely ridiculous process. if i purchase clothes for R7500 would you still need my statements then? take your card and keep it, i will pay off the measly R1500 or so thats owing on it. your competitors operate much more effeciently and dont give their customers the run around. this was a horrible experience because i spent half the morning running around to your branches only to find out they wont sell it to me even though i have credit on my card!
