Refused to exchange the damaged goods

I went to Johannesburg CBD and Eastgate branch to do an exchange on the white beads bought without a hook at Eastgate on the 6th of April 2013. they informed me that they didn't have stock.

On the 19th i went to Alberton branch to do the exchange and they refused to do the exchange informing me that they do not take back the costume jewellery. I explained to them that the beads do not have a hook and all I require was a swap for the ones with a hook. i had a valid slip and the tag is still hanging on the beads that needs to be exchanged. the beads are fairly new and it clearly shows that no one noticed that the hook was missing at the time of purchase.
I'm totally not satisfied with the service I got at Edgars especially when Theresa said I can take them further when I informed her that I will be taking steps to correct what happened.
