I was retrenched and after filling out a claim for my account protection insurance to settle the balance, I was then told that because I wasnt employed by this specific company for 6months (I was retrenched after 4) that they wouldnt pay. I then looked on the T&C and very clearly does it state there that an account will NOT be paid should the person NOT have permanent employment for 6 months PRIOR to the retrenchment... NOWHERE does it state you have to be employed for 6months by THE SAME company! I was employed for 8 YEARS at my previous company so YES I WAS employed for 6 months prior to retrenchment. Im FURIOUS that I have been paying this insurance (for MANY years) and now theyre wanting to decline my claim when CLEARLY their T&C dont state what theyre trying to tell me over the phone! THIS IS WRONG edgars and I want a resolution to this! As if being jobless is not stress enough... now Im getting by Edgars! NICE!
