I had been retrenched by company that i worked for, i was a temp staff. when i first opened my account i had a permanent job, but then had a different job i then took up insurance cover with edgars and the person i had spoken to knew i was a temp staff because i had confirmed with her would i be covered and i was told yes.
When it came to having my account covered due to retrenchment, only months later after i had submitted my docs i was told i could not be covered because i was not permanent. Why was cover then taken out for me, even though i had stated i was temp, but because i only signed my contract once a year and was considered a permanent temp, i was told by edgars it was fine.
All these years i had paid insurance and everything was fine, now when its time to pay it is an issue. why let me pay in the first place then. and if i am not going to be covered, why am i not being reimbursed? i told the agent to reimburse me, and am still waiting on a call. i spoke to her in November/december2012 (unsure). Now everyday i am being harassed by sms about legal and court order, yet no call. this is unacceptable. reimburse my payments and i will pay what is due. angry and disappointed
