I would like to appeal for your assistance regarding a matter which has now become an albatross around my neck. In February I received a statement from Edgars saying that I bought items amounting to R4 900 in Bloemfontein in January this year. I had never been to Bloemfontein in a while and it became clear that I had become a victim of. I took the matter up with Edgars and I was told to submit an affidavit that I was disputing the transaction, which I did. I was then told that there would be an investigation into the matter.

I never received any acknowledgement and was never kept informed about the progress about the matter. Yesterday I received a call saying I need to pay an amount of R1 500 as an instalment. I tried to explain to the caller that the matter is currently under dispute but she insisted that I should pay and was not aware of the dispute lodged.

I then decided to personally go to Edgars branch at Liberty Mall in Pietermaritzburg to try to resolve the matter.
