Went to metro in north rand road sunday morning at 8-45. I purchased quite a few things there, but getting to the till point was the shocking part. The cashier scanned the cheese (bulk cheese 72 slice) the i noticed when she turned the packed around it was full of holes. I querried and asked her if they have mice in the store. There was 3 ladys sitting at the till point at the time. The lady behind the cashier turned to me and said Yes we have mice, its a big problem here and we have rats in the store to. She actually told me the customer that? I couldnt believe what i was hearing and seeing in front of me. The best part on leaving was, after the lady told me about the rats, the other staff tried to tell her to keep quite, she said she wont keep quite, people must know. Doesnt management have pest control there, especially such a big store selling 80% food. Another problem is if the staff was trained well enough, they wont tell the customer about rodents in the store, those cashiers will close your store down talking to people like that, customers wont go back there. Future customers, you decide for yourself or go look, thankfully there is jamaica in cason rd, and much cleaner??
