Before purchasing a Smegg Hoh and Over from Hirsch's, we went to the store with our measuments and had a long discussion with the sales person. On Saturday 16.02.2013 we purchased both items and arranged for the recommended installers to fit the goods.
With disappointment we discovered that both items are to big for the space available. The installers had to cut into the granite tops (which was cut past the end of the hob) and we have to get a carpenter to alter the undercounter oven space.
The manager (Evart) from Hirch's confirmed that the cost will be covered by the store which I was pleased about although still upset that my brand new kitchen had to be altered
This morning (19.02.2013) I received a call from the sales person (Ivan) informing me that his measurments are correct and basically passing the buck. With no resolution to this matter it means in addition to all the money spent, I need to spend money again to correct the mistakes of my supplier who should be fully trained and be in a position to offer the correct advise and assistance. The customer never wins!!!
