Poor sales service:
We went to Hirch's Fourways Yesterday to purchase a fridge and washing machine - was shown a brand called Haier, which Edgar Mukumbira assured us was a German brand (this is important to us because it signifies higher quality than the Korean and Chinese Brands). We decided to purchase based on his representations. Turns out Haier is a Chinese brand.
Delivery and After Sales
The goods were delivered and the packaging removed by Hirsch's delivery people, but in removing the packaging, the bottom cover and insulation were removed by Hirsch's delivery people, preventing the proper installation of the washing machine.
I went to Hirsch's today to try get the missing parts - I explained the problem and showed a Hirsch's staff member the User Manual that shows the installation instructions. He undertook to replace the washing machine. A couple of hours later, I get a call from the same Hirsch's staff member saying that a bottom cover is not required because they had checked the machine on the sales floor and it didn't have one and that they now would not be replacing the machine.
