I had a previous Truworths account which was in arrears and closed about 5 years ago. The account has long been settled.
Unfortunately I paid my current account's instalment into that old account. (I also overpay to get back my good credit rating). I only realised this after paying and then paid the current account's instalment. Therefore paying double the instalment.
Since then, I have been trying to get somebody to help me, but all I get from the call centres are fax numbers, a demand for proof of payment, and snotty attitudes. I even asked the legal department's number and it was like pulling teeth. I just need the amount I paid into the old account (R1000), to be transferred to my current account. I can't see that it could be that big of a deal, since you would have all my information, and I am sure that it is more than evident that the payment was made to the old account, which was more than two weeks ago. I do not have access to a fax and have tried to explain this multiple times. Hello digital age?
