Good day. I bought a sandal yesterday (Wed-5 FEB 2014) at shoe city. The black sandal I was interested in buying (size4) was priced at R159.95 and sale price, R79.00.According to the sales assistant (without checking the stock on floor or on computer stock enquiry, she knew at the top of her head ))there was no size 3 available .there was however the IDENTICAL sandal in a diiferent colour marked at the same retail price and marked at a sale price of R109.00 and there was stock of a size 3-the last pair in size 3.
I asked the assistant howcome the identical pair but in differrent colours had such a huge price difference, she replied the faster sellers are marked down differently.
I was quite perplexed by her reply and at the same time, thinking I need a sandal and since there was only one pair of the size I require, I should buy it. I feel the pricing structure is ridiculous that identical pairs of shoes, just in different colurs are priced differently. I am considering returning the sandal.the item code on receipt is 2263344.
