On the day in question, I visited the Donna Claire store. The specific pair of shoes immediately caught my attention among the marked down items as I so many times before fitted the shoes, but never bought it. At my surprise, the pair of shoes were marked down a further 25% on the sale price. However, when I checked the price on the box, it was priced at R57 . I went to the cashier to pay for the shoes, but she refused to give the shoes to me at that price, telling me that it was a pricing error and that the shoes are R157. My response was that I want to pay the price that was on the shoes, but to no avail. I then asked to speak to the manager, who came out of the office and told me that she will check what can be done and that it was a human error. I told her I understand, but it had nothing to do with me. A while later the manager returned, telling me that she is sorry and that she cant give me the shoes at that price, and I left the store, telling them that I will take the matter further. Unfortunately I didn't take their names, as non of them wore name badges and I didn't want to get into an argument with one of them. However, I do see them all the time when I go to the mall.
