Since the start of the year, I have purchased 5 pairs of Mr Price sandals. Two pairs of the V-thong in brown, the V-thong in black, the colourblock sling back sandal in blue, and the sling back sandal in brown. All of which lasted no more than a few weeks. In three months, I've spent almost R300 on sandals that have all broken.
I'm not sure if they use Pritt Stick or flour and water, but whatever cost-cutting adhesive they're using has left every last pair of sandal I've purchased with a flapping mouth - one that furiously (and embarrassingly) claps about with every step - and of course, at the worst moments too. Any situtaion that requires shoe wearing is not the place you would want your shoes to fail you. And my Mr Price shoes have done just that.
I might as well have gone to Woolies to get a DECENT pair of shoes. I really have no interest in buying any Mr Price shoes again, and I will make sure all of my friends don't either.
