I wanted to purchase a School Bag on the 17th of January 20, 2014 and had to wait a while as there were computer problems. When the computer came on, the purchase was rung up (R119.99) and I handed over my debit card. It was inserted and I entered my pin number. The computer then played up again and the machine never spat out a slip for me to sign. I was asked for my debit card as the teller wanted to swipe my card again. I said that the amount would have come off my account and I went online on my cellphone to prove it did. She saw the proof. The teller said she would not be able to give me my purchase unless she rang it up on another computer and swiped my card again. After some disagreement, my card was reswiped and I got a slip to sign. I was informed that the amount would be credited in my account by the next day. This has not been done. I have sent queries to the store and to head office and I get people calling me back saying the money will be refunded. I have sent them my bank statement proving the purchase went off twice. They tell me to be patient, wait another day. Nothing has been paid back.
