As far as I know (and perhaps I am mixing pic k pay up with a different retailer) Pick N Pay has a store policy that if there are more than 5 (I think it is 5) customers in a queue, they will open up a new till. Now regardless whether this is actually the policy or not, this is still a valid complaint. EVERY single time, no matter what time of the day, that I go into this particular store, the queues are absolutely unbearable. There is not even a "quick" queue for people with 10 items or less. When we want to buy one or two items on a limited time schedule, it seems absolutely ridiculous to stand in these insanely long queues. I have never had this constant issue at any other store, Pick n Pay or other retailer. There are never enough tills open and I am absolutely sick of it. At this rate it would be quicker for me to drive to an entirely different centre to purchase items at a different store, and it won't be another PicknPay store. This issue needs to be sorted out. If they are understaffed then simply hire more staff - there are more than enough unemployed people, there is absolutely no excuse.
