I purchased a dress to the value of R1300 from Forever New in Sandton. Although when I got home and had a look at the dress the inside of the garment was torn. I'm from Durban so I took the dress to the closest branch but before doing so I contacted the store and explained what was wrong with the dress and the lady said they do not have another dress like the one I have in stock and she kept a different dress aside for me. When I actually got to the store I had explained to the sales assistant the problem and had informed that I spoke to someone telephonically. The sales assistant was then refusing to exchange the dress saying that it's torn and is not their problem and she was not interested that I had the receipt and that all tags were still attached to the garment. Then another sales assistant rudely jumped into the conversation trying to be difficult. After telling them I was going to lay a complaint against them they did exchange the dress. Bottom line is the service at the Pavilion Forever New is very poor and they should do a check of the garments they sell and not try to manipulate people into buying damaged goods and then try to force them to keep to it as its unethical.
